Thank you for sharing it with us. I will try to update my CUPS as soon as possible. I think this application can also be useful to my friends.

Hanna-foo2zjs

As time pass, things went better. I've purchased a new laptop so I had to reinstall, this time painless.
1. Turn off you Printer (keep it power off)
2. Install cups driver and firmware downloader
# sudo apt-get install foo2zjs hannah-foo2zjs
3. Install firmware
# sudo hannah-foo2zjs
Choose your printer model click Download and for confirmation message.
4. Turn on you printer
5. Set up your printer with cups

Tip: If install hplip, this will help cups to detect your printer but you have to choose the driver: foo2zjs.

Blessings!
